  1. Day 3 – No Caffeine. Day 1 – BluePrint Juice Cleanse Review

    So! I woke up today all geared up to do the BluePrint Juice Cleanse. Since I had already been off of Caffeine for 2 days with these being my 3rd, I didn’t have that pounding headache which I had hounded me the last 2 days! I started off with hot lemon water to get my system moving . (And boy did it move) . By the time I had finished 2 cups of lemon water, it was time to rush to an appointment so I grabbed juice number one of the day – the green juice. Fabulous. It’s definitely not the yucky green juice one would expect. The apple and lemon really mellow out the blandness of the celery, parsley, etc.

    After my appointment, I had the Pineapple Juice Drink. MMM. Very sweet. A little too sweet for my taste, especially in the cold dreary winter weather, but who’s complaining? I actually didn’t finish all of it and put about 1/6 back in the fridge.

    It was about 1:00pm at this point. I waited till 4:00pm to have juice 3, but took a short nap from 3:30 to 4:00pm. My third juice was also a green juice. In fact It was the same juice as juice one. I didn’t mind it, but some variety would have been nice :) .

    I then took a long nap from 5 – 6:30 pm . Keep in mind that I was also sick with a sore throat and cold and fever for the last 3 days. The naps were important for my recovery. I then downed the lemonade, which was my Juice 4.

    I then debated on whether or not to attend Dhoonyafit’s Dance Class in Chelsea. I had been meaning to go for a while, but was worried I may be too tired. I mustered up the courage and headed out into rainy cold armed with 5th juice of the day – another green juice (the same one as 1 and 3) .

    Upon arriving at Dhoonya fit’s Studio, I had no clue what I was in for. However, about half way through with sweat pouring down my neck, I knew that this was going to be a huge supplement to my 3 day fast! In between I kept taking sips of my green juice.

    After a solid dance session of an hour, I was invigorated! I had not felt so light in what seemed like ages!  The combo of Dhoonyafit with the Blueprint Cleanse really jumpstarted body’s detox process !

    It’s not 10:30pm. After the class, I rushed home. And devoured the last juice of the day –  Cashew Milk Water. This truly divine concoction by Blue Print Cleanse is a blessing. It takes like Dessert. Is not too sweet nor too creamy. Just right!

    And now I’m retiring for the night! Completely satisfied with day one of the juice cleanse.

    But let me note that I would not be feeling this great if I had not quit caffeine 3 days ago :) !!!!

  2. Day Two : No Caffeine. No Dairy.

    9:00 A.M. I wake up groggy from my 8 hour nap. I call it a nap because it couldn’t possible be called sleep with the rattling old heater rattling away. I mean sometimes I feel I would rather freeze than have to listen to that every morning, night, RIGHT NOW! ok. I’m calm. I’ve very very calm.

    9:15 A.M. I have a dull headache. Very dull persistent headache. I just ate some left over brownies my roomie made. yum. Does that replace the caffeine? Like a placebo?

    9:30 A.M. I have some hot lemon water. Taste great. But burns my sore throat. The sore throat I got from my boy friend who is on his Peds rotation right now. ugh.

    10:00 A.M. Need Food. Another brownie?

    11:00 A.M. Hot Baked Potatoe with HOT SAUCE. YUM!

    12:30 P.M. Blackberrys with HOT SAUCE. Divine!

    1:00 P.M. Sipping on my fourth cup of hot lemon water.

    Only got 8 more hours to go.

    Well the rest of the day went super slow. It’s 7:30 P.M. right now and I’ve gotten nothing done today.

    My throat is clogged up. I didn’t work out and this no caffeine thing has basically deemed me useless.

    I’m def. over my calorie limit and Fitness Pal tells me I’ll be 125.5 pounds in 5 weeks. That’s scary.

    I was supposed to be 110 pounds in 5 weeks! ughhh.

    I also picked up some yummy green tea from the chinese shop across the street. It has no caffeine and is oh so yummy! Hope it gears me up for tomorrow!!

  3. Day One: No Caffeine. No Dairy.

    Yes. You read that right. Today was day one of no caffeine. no dairy. AND I’ve got a sore throat. Now I didn’t start this little journey for fun. I started down this treacherous path because I realized that the holidays really kicked me in the gut and created a bulging pockets of fat that are so unseemly that I shouldn’t really be posting about this right now. SO. Anyway. I ran into a dear old friend at a party who told me he’s about to start a juice cleanse! Woo Hoo! I’ve tried to do them before and have always cheated. Always! I figured a small jug of tea with creamy milk won’t mess up the juice cleanse at all. No No. How could it ? Well it did. Just in case you too felt a small cheat like that wouldn’t be a biggie. Anyhow. This lovely friend went on to inform me that he had lost 13 pounds the last time he did the cleanse and kept off 9 of those pounds!  Whaaa? I was intrigued. He proceeded to tell me about something called the Blue Print Cleanse . Basically, for 3 days 6 juices a day were delivered to your door. You are only allowed to drink those 6 juices, which are primarily green juices, with some other goodies thrown in. I thought – if he could lose it,  I could lose it. Why not.

    So off I went to my home, popped open my laptop, found Blueprintcleanse.com and ordered away! Now, I’m waiting for my order to arrive tomorrow, so I can begin the cleanse the day after tomorrow.  Here goes nothing . But before I could ‘go nothing’ I had to quit caffeine and dairy and meat. I’m a vegetarian, so the meat wasn’t a big deal. The caffeine and dairy – a huge deal. So today was day one of no caffeine. It was super tough, but I made it through by replacing any coffee cravings with coconut water.

    Did I tell you that I’m also trying to eat only 760 calories a day?

    Myfitnesspal.com tells me that if I want to lose 2 pounds a week I have to have 760 net calories a day. whew. Talk about hard! I’ve been over 800 calories every day. Ahem…
